Anatomy and Physiology introduces the students to the major body systems and how they work together to maintain homeostasis (balance) in the human body. Each section includes a description of the organ structures and underlying tissues and cells in the system, the disorders and diseases associated with each, as well as how they work together to perform a common function.

AP® Chemistry builds students' understanding of the nature and reactivity of matter. After studying chemical reactions and electrochemistry, students move on to understand how the chemical and physical properties of materials can be explained by the structure and arrangements of the molecules and the forces between those molecules. Students will examine the laws of thermodynamics, molecular collisions, and the reorganization of matter in order to understand how changes in matter take place. Taking a look at the pets that live in our homes, on our farms, and in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, this course examines some of the common diseases and treatments for domestic animals. Toxins, parasites, and infectious diseases affect not only the animals around us, but at times, us humans as well! Through veterinary medicine and science, the prevention and treatment of diseases and health issues are studied and applied.
