Core Middle School Homeschool Curriculum Subjects
Whether you're new to homeschooling or you're a seasoned homeschooler, you know how important it is for your student to have a well-rounded, quality, accredited program. Keystone's middle school homeschool curriculum covers all your bases.
English
Our middle school language arts courses push students to sharpen their reading comprehension, express their ideas and knowledge, and produce analytical compositions. These courses also help students build their grammar and vocabulary skills.
Math
Keystone's middle school math classes guide students through strengthening their understanding of multiplication, division, fractions, and ratios. They also provide students with a basic introduction to algebra and linear equations.
Science
Throughout our middle school homeschool curriculum, students progress through earth science, life science, and physical science classes. Students will explore the fundamentals of geology, oceanography, meteorology, astronomy, cell and cell biology, chemistry, and physics.
History
Keystone middle school students start with a deep dive into American history where they learn about the country's history since the late 1800s. Students then move on to study comprehensive world history in survey courses spanning prehistoric to modern times.
Electives
In middle school, students can start to understand and explore their interests, and Keystone is here to support them. As part of our middle school homeschool curriculum, we offer electives such as fine arts, photography, health, physical education, and career exploration classes. Students have the opportunity to learn more about various mediums and styles of art, the best ways to live an active and healthy life, and start developing their interests for post-graduation plans.
Advanced Options for Middle School Students
Around the time students reach 8th grade, they gain more opportunities to take advanced courses. Our middle school students can enroll in first-level world language courses and Algebra 1, for example, enabling them to earn high school credit through Keystone before they've even finished middle school.
