This course builds on students’ skills in reading, writing, and critical analysis, with a strong focus on both informational and fictional texts. As students advance, they refine their comprehension strategies and deepen their understanding of various genres, enhancing their ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral presentations.
Students engage with a wide range of media to explore informational and persuasive techniques, uncovering both explicit and implied messages while understanding the impact of visual and auditory elements on communication. Throughout the course, students continue to develop their grammar, usage, and mechanics, while expanding their vocabulary and applying new acquisition strategies.
This course is designed to empower students with the skills they need to be thoughtful, effective communicators in both academic and real-world settings.
When enrolling in the full year option of this course it will be delivered in two semesters. Transcripts will reflect each semester separately.
