The Algebra 1 course is designed to build on the math skills students have developed in middle school, taking their understanding to the next level. Unlike earlier versions of Algebra, this course takes a fresh approach, focusing on key concepts and skills that are essential for future math success.In this course, students will deepen their knowledge of linear and exponential relationships, learning to compare and contrast these two important concepts. They'll also apply linear models to real-world data, helping them see how math connects to everyday life. Additionally, students will explore quadratic functions, learning how to analyze, solve, and use them in a variety of situations.This course is perfect for students who want to strengthen their math foundation while gaining practical skills they can apply beyond the classroom. Parents can feel confident knowing their child is receiving a comprehensive, up-to-date math education that prepares them for future success!Course Eligibility Recommendation: Students in all high school grade levels can take honors courses if they have earned a grade of 90% or higher in their prior year course in that academic category (ex. 92% in English 8 can take English 9 Honors).
