Give your student a powerful head start in college-level English with our AP English Language and Composition course. Designed to mirror a first-year college course, this class strengthens students’ critical reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills — all while preparing them to succeed on the AP exam and beyond.
Throughout the year, students dive into a rich variety of notable fiction and nonfiction texts, including speeches, essays, and historical pamphlets. With a strong emphasis on rhetorical analysis, students learn to understand how language shapes meaning, influences culture, and moves audiences. They build confidence as readers and writers, developing the ability to craft well-supported arguments, conduct research, and write with clarity and style.
Along the way, students receive targeted practice with AP-style assessments, ensuring they are fully prepared for the exam’s expectations in content, structure, and rigor. Whether your student’s future path lies in communications, journalism, literature, creative writing, or beyond, this course will sharpen their skills and expand their opportunities.
Access to this AP course is outside of our usual learning management system. Instructions for access will be sent to the support email after enrollment is processed.
