AP Microeconomics gives students a deeper understanding of how everyday economic decisions are made—by individuals, businesses, and governments. This college-level course explores the forces behind supply and demand, pricing, competition, and consumer behavior. Students learn why the same item might cost more in one store than another, how businesses decide what to produce, and how markets respond to changes in policy and consumer trends.

The course emphasizes real-world thinking and practical applications, encouraging students to analyze current economic issues and predict the behavior of buyers and sellers in different scenarios. Topics include scarcity, opportunity cost, market structures, the role of government, and how interest rates and incentives influence decision-making.

Designed for students interested in business, economics, public policy, or finance, AP Microeconomics builds strong analytical skills and prepares students for the AP Exam and further study in college.
