Build on your child’s foundational Spanish skills with our Spanish 2 two-semester online course, designed to help students confidently navigate more complex language concepts and engage in meaningful conversations. Aligned with national ACTFL standards, this course deepens students’ understanding of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, enabling them to express themselves with greater ease and accuracy in a wide variety of situations.

In this course, students will expand their vocabulary and grammar knowledge through real-life topics such as professions, clothing, health, travel, sports, and technology. They’ll also explore practical language applications related to directions, transportation, vacations, and the home—perfect for developing conversational skills they can use every day.

Each unit offers a blend of interactive activities, speaking and writing practice, and reading and listening comprehension exercises, all designed to reinforce key grammar concepts and vocabulary. Emphasis is placed on real-world context and practical conversational examples, helping students not just memorize terms, but actively use them in conversation.

By the end of the course, students will be comfortable using intermediate-level vocabulary, expressing ideas in complete sentences, and engaging in more sophisticated conversations. They’ll also gain a deeper understanding of the cultures and perspectives of Spanish-speaking countries, with opportunities to compare and analyze various cultural practices.

With frequent assessments to track progress, your child will be able to clearly see their growth, ensuring they are ready to move to the next level of Spanish fluency.

When enrolling in the full year option of this course it will be delivered in two semesters. Transcripts will reflect each semester separately.
