Prepare your student for college-level success and real-world communication with this challenging and immersive AP® Spanish Language and Culture course. Taught entirely in Spanish, this course is designed for motivated students who are ready to deepen their language proficiency and cultural understanding through rigorous academic study.

Throughout the year, students engage with a rich variety of authentic materials drawn from across the Spanish-speaking world—including articles, essays, literature, podcasts, news broadcasts, charts, and videos. These resources expose students to the real-life language and cultural perspectives of diverse Spanish-speaking communities across Europe, Latin America, North America, and Africa.

The course is structured around the three modes of communication—interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational—and follows the College Board's six overarching course themes. Students build advanced vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills while mastering the 13 AP® task models they’ll encounter on the AP® exam. Through frequent speaking, writing, listening, and reading activities, students grow in fluency and develop the confidence to communicate at an intermediate-high to advanced-low proficiency level.

To foster an immersive environment and maximize growth, the course emphasizes a “Spanish-only” policy. We encouraging students to use Spanish exclusively during throughout the course in written discussions, recordings and assignments.

By the end of the course, students will not only be well-prepared for the AP® exam in May, but also ready to thrive in college-level Spanish courses and culturally diverse settings. This course supports academic excellence, global citizenship, and bilingual communication skills that will serve students for a lifetime.
