Introduce your child to the exciting world of Spanish with our Spanish 1 two-semester online course—designed to engage and empower students as they begin their language learning journey. Aligned with national ACTFL standards, this course focuses on the four essential areas of world language study: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, ensuring a well-rounded foundation in Spanish.

Throughout the course, students will explore real-world topics such as greetings, school, hobbies, food, family, weather, and more. Each unit features a mix of vocabulary themes, grammar concepts, and interactive activities designed to keep students motivated and actively engaged. Students will develop their speaking and writing skills, practice listening comprehension, and gain exposure to the culture and perspectives of Spanish-speaking countries through multimedia presentations and cultural comparisons.

The course places a strong emphasis on contextual learning, helping students connect language concepts to practical, everyday conversations. They will gain confidence in responding to basic prompts, mastering common phrases and vocabulary, and participating in simple conversations. With regular assessments, progress is continuously monitored, allowing students to track their improvement and build mastery before advancing.
