Take your child’s Spanish proficiency to the next level with our Spanish 3 two-semester online course, designed to help students refine their language skills and communicate confidently in both everyday and formal settings. Fully aligned with national ACTFL standards, this course focuses on listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and is perfect for students who have completed Spanish 2 or its equivalent.

In this advanced course, students will dive deeper into the Spanish language by exploring a range of engaging topics such as nature, music, technology, social issues, and relationships. They’ll also master important grammar concepts, such as false cognates, expressions with por and para, and advanced verb usage—all while gaining a stronger command of the language’s structure.

Each unit includes interactive activities, listening and reading comprehension tasks, speaking and writing practice, and multimedia cultural presentations, all designed to encourage real-world application and deepen cultural understanding. Through these activities, students will practice informal and formal conversations, express opinions and thoughts in writing and speech, and confidently analyze and compare cultural perspectives from Spanish-speaking countries.

The course emphasizes active language use, with students expected to engage fully in conversations, read and analyze classic Hispanic literature, and participate in debates on social issues. By the end of the course, students will have a strong grasp of advanced vocabulary, a deeper appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in Spanish across various contexts.

With regular assessments to monitor progress, students will see their skills grow steadily, ensuring they’re well-prepared for higher-level Spanish or real-world conversations.

When enrolling in the full year option of this course it will be delivered in two semesters. Transcripts will reflect each semester separately.
