Stories & Spotlights
For Enzo Rizzuto, education has always been part of a much larger international and creative journey.
After living in Hong Kong from 2015 to 2018, Enzo and his family moved to the United States for work. His experiences abroad introduced him to different educational models, including homeschooling and online learning.
Enzo believed online education could give him more time to focus on his creative interests while continuing to receive a strong education.
Enrolling in The Keystone School proved to be what he describes as “a great decision.”
Keystone’s flexibility allowed Enzo to study and complete assignments on his own schedule while continuing to write, develop ideas, and work on creative projects.
“The program allowed me more flexibility with my time,” Enzo shared. “I could study and complete assignments anytime I wanted to and continue to focus on my creative work.”
Enzo also appreciated the welcoming personalities of his teachers. Known for his sarcastic sense of humor, he often included jokes in written assignments.
Rather than ignoring them, his teachers would laugh, respond, and encourage him to continue expressing his personality.
“The teachers would always laugh and comment on the jokes I made in my assignments,” he recalled. “It was truly a great staff.”
Creative writing became one of Enzo’s favorite courses and reinforced his interest in storytelling. The course gave him another outlet for his imagination while helping him develop skills that connect directly with his future plans.
After graduating from Keystone in 2025, Enzo enrolled in college to study audiovisual production. His goal is to build a career as a filmmaker in the film and television industry.
“We all need something artistic in our lives,” he explained. “It’s the best way to express ourselves, whether it’s through writing, singing, painting, filming, or something else.”
Enzo has already founded his own production company, Terra Nova Films, through which he hopes to develop original projects.
His education and life experiences have carried him across Hong Kong, the United States, and Brazil. Those different environments helped Enzo develop a broader understanding of people, cultures, and perspectives.
Before beginning online school, he heard warnings that homeschooling could negatively affect students’ social skills. His own experience proved very different.
“I have become twice as confident and outgoing as I was before,” he shared.
Through Keystone discussion boards, Enzo had opportunities to read ideas and opinions from students with different experiences. His teachers also demonstrated the importance of treating people with kindness, empathy, and respect.
He encourages current students to ask questions and reach out whenever they need assistance.
“Keystone is a place that will welcome you and help you with open arms,” Enzo said. “The staff always treated me with the utmost empathy and respect.”
In five years, Enzo hopes to be working professionally in film and television while developing projects through Terra Nova Films.
He remains excited about where his career may take him, but he is also committed to enjoying the process.
“I’m looking forward to what’s ahead,” he shared, “but until I get to my destination, I’m going to enjoy the scenery along the way.”
Enzo’s story reflects the imagination of a filmmaker already in motion. With a global collection of experiences, a distinctive sense of humor, and a passion for storytelling, his next chapter may be made for the screen.
