High School Homeschool Curriculum
Our high school homeschool curriculum allows students access to high-quality courses that will prepare them for college, career, or whatever they may pursue following graduation.
Why choose Keystone's high school homeschool curriculum?
Keystone can accommodate a unique learning environment and provide flexible online courses that meet your student where they are and help them achieve their goals. Students benefit from our high-quality homeschool curriculum in any setting or format they need to learn.
Our program provides courses in commonly required subjects, supports an independent study learning model, and is accredited by Cognia, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools' Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS), and Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC).
For high school students, Keystone also provides more course options like Honors and Advanced Placement® opportunities.
Have a diverse learner? Keystone also offers a print course option that is separate and distinct from the online learning curriculum. Your student will receive and work through our print course with physical materials shipped directly to you. While students submit assignments to our online location, the learning happens on paper.
Core High School Homeschool Curriculum Subjects
Whether you're new to homeschooling or a seasoned homeschooler, you know how important it is for your student to have a well-rounded, quality, accredited program. Keystone's high school homeschool curriculum covers all your bases.
English
Our high school students have a wide range of choices when it comes to their language arts and literature classes. From American literature and British and world literature to creative writing and introduction to journalism, students following our high school homeschool curriculum have a variety of options to grow their English language skills.
Math
Keystone's high school math classes cover the topics students need to succeed in high school, college, and beyond. Students will work through pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and pre-calculus, calculus, probability and statistics, and more. Students have the ability to follow a traditional math curriculum or take advanced math options if their future goals are math related.
Science
Throughout our high school homeschool curriculum, students can explore classes like anatomy and physiology, biology, astronomy, chemistry, earth science, environmental science, forensic science, physics, and more. Many of our courses also have an available lab component. Students have the ability to follow a traditional science curriculum or take advanced science options if their future goals are science related.
History & Social Sciences
Our high school history and social science curriculum includes American government, economics, civics, geography, modern U.S. history, psychology, sociology, and more. Students can follow a traditional history and social sciences curriculum or take advanced social science options if they align with their future goals.
Fine Arts
As part of our high school homeschool curriculum, we offer fine arts classes to introduce our students to a variety of creative mediums, styles, and techniques. Students can try their hand at 3D modeling or animation, or dig into art history or art and music appreciation.
World Languages
At Keystone, students have the opportunity to learn a new language and expand their worldview. We offer courses in multiple levels in Spanish, Chinese, French, and American Sign Language.
Electives
Our high school homeschool curriculum electives help students start to dig deeper into their own interests and develop their skills in areas where they might want to pursue further study or a career. We offer courses such as biotechnology, business law, criminology, culinary arts, foundations of game design, and so many more.
Does your homeschooled high school student need an extra challenge?
In addition to the regular course requirements that your student may need to earn their high school diploma, Keystone's high school homeschool curriculum also includes a number of options for students to take honors courses or Advanced Placement® (AP®) courses. Honors courses can help students demonstrate to colleges that they take their studies seriously, and AP can help them earn actual college credit!
Our high school students can also participate in dual enrollment, where they can earn credits directly toward their college degree before they even graduate from high school.
High School Print Courses
Our print-format courses enable students to step outside the online learning space. With this program option, students receive all course materials in print format. The only online component of these classes is the assessments.
Students complete all course learning through printed materials and submit assessments online for a teacher to review and grade. Our print courses are a great option for students who want to learn away from the computer but still want to remain in the Keystone program. We offer print courses across various subject areas, so students can take one or several to best fit their preferences.
